Shippers aren’t ignoring you. They’re ignoring the noise.
Load boards were built to match loads with trucks, not to win shippers. They show you the lane, rarely the company behind it, and every competitor sees the same post. So the freight you can reach turns into a rate war, won on today’s price and lost on tomorrow’s quote.
Shipper sales gets whatever time the carrier side leaves. Reps work the same purchased lists, open with “any freight today?”, and flood LinkedIn with connection requests, while the VP of Logistics fields brokers, carriers, and vendors all day. They have learned to tune out anything that sounds like one more broker.
The freight worth winning rarely touches a load board. It is awarded in RFPs and bid cycles, and the invite list is usually written before the RFP goes out. Trade shows put you in a hall with every competitor. Referrals work until they run out. None of it puts you in front of the decision-maker on your schedule.
